A building at the centre of the community in which Welsh Slate’s main quarry is located has received a major boost from the leading manufacturer of natural slate products. Welsh Slate, whose Penrhyn Quarry is in the North Wales village of Bethesda, is sponsoring the impressive new clubhouse at Bethesda Rugby Club for the next two years. The clubhouse and five hectares of fields are owned and managed by Clwb Rygbi Bethesda which runs it as a community facility. More than 20 community groups and 2,000 people make use of this, not to mention five small businesses which work from the new facil.....
