With most of the First XV Squad players missing Bethesda had slim hopes of winning away at Dolgellau.

And so it proved! The side at the bottom of Division 1 took full advantage of Bethesda's weakness and the match was over as a contest by the end of the first half. Dolgellau has scored 5 tries by the interval with the score at 32 points to 5. Daniel Pritchard's penalty goal was the visitors' only score.

Bethesda's supporters feared the worst in the second half but Dolgellau failed to add to their total against a team which had a number of players who had never played at this level previously. The efforts of the Bethesda players deserve praise for refusing to buckle under the pressure of a team fighting for it's survival in Division 1.
