Join The British & Irish Lions Tour Party!

The Learning with the Lions programme was created to explore, capture and share the unique learning opportunities that only a Lions Tour can provide with the aim of helping growing the game across the four home nations.

The journey has begun with our Pick of the Pride Search which will see a team of Ambassadors travel to New Zealand and document how they interact, collaborate and learn with each other and local New Zealand rugby clubs before bringing it back to their clubs to share the knowledge they have gained.

You and your club can get involved too!

For Clubs at Home:

Sign up within the first week to be in with a chance of winning official Lions training equipment for your club!

Get your club involved by applying for an Official Lions Breakfast Pack. The breakfast pack will help your club put on Lions Test match-day parties to help drive recruitment by welcoming new and existing players and supporters into your club and celebrating the sport of rugby.

The packs will include Lions themed décor and a range of ideas and activities to help you set up and deliver the ultimate viewing party.  UK based clubs can also secure a discounted rate with the Lions media partner, SKY Sports, to ensure viewing with ease. *

How your club runs the party is up to you but we’d be delighted if your club capitalises on the excitement of the day by inviting and welcoming non-members to come along and join in. Create some lasting memories, and include Touch or Tag tournaments and general skills sessions where new members can get a taste for the game following the Lions match!

For Club Members travelling abroad:

If you are touring to New Zealand to watch the Lions in action, you are invited to join one of four Learning with the Lions events hosted in collaboration with the New Zealand Rugby Union. Local NZ clubs will host a panel discussion and break-out sessions in a relaxed open sharing environment to discuss club rugby on a global level.

Club members from both sides of the hemisphere will come together in shared passion for rugby and a vision for development, particularly in the youth game. Attendees will be given the opportunity to raise concerns and share difficulties they experience in their clubs with the aim of collaborating with those outside their own Union. Through these fun learning events, we hope to provide a sharing atmosphere where alternative perspectives and strategies for developing the domestic game inspire growth and retention amongst clubs across our four home nations.

To apply for either of the Learning with the Lions Programmes, go to www.Lionsrugby.com/learning and register your interest. Entries close midnight the 2nd of June, 2017.
